Installing CookieTractor via Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager, or GTM, is a tag management system from Google used to trigger scripts and tags on a webpage. Here are instructions for how to add CookieTractor via GTM.
GTM Tag Template
If you wish to use GTM to add CookieTractor to your website, you can use our Tag Template. You can find it in the Gallery, and add it before using it as a tag in your container. The name of the template is CookieTractor CMP (Consent Mode v2).
When creating a tag using the template as a trigger, insert your website key, which you’ll find under the Installation tab in our tool (the data-id attribute in the script tag), and select the language code (with country/dialect) for the service. If desired, you can also configure more advanced settings within the trigger for Google Consent Mode, or choose to disable it entirely.
Note: If you want to use our automatic handling of YouTube and Vimeo, or if you have other script code that loads before GTM, we recommend using a script tag instead of loading CookieTractor through GTM.
